Battle Lake Recreational Area
This two mile trail is located approximately two miles south of Northome along Highway 71. The trail is used for hiking in the spring, summer and fall and for cross country skiing in the winter months. The skiing trail is for the experienced skier as the trail's terrain is quite hilly with sharp corners. An alternative for the less experienced skier is the The C. W. Bray School Forest's Trail System.
